ABOUT
Born in Surano in 1946, Maestro Paolo Lentini is one of Italy’s foremost exponents of classical tailoring. His career began at a young age in a traditional sartoria in southern Italy, before his talent carried him to Turin and later Milan, where he refined his craft under the guidance of Italy’s great masters.
Over the decades, he has collaborated with some of the most respected names in tailoring — Sartoria Ferdinando Caraceni, Sartoria Gianni Campagna, and Sartoria Mariano Rubinacci — experiences that deepened his understanding of proportion, structure, and timeless style.
In 2014, he was awarded the Forbici d’Oro, the highest distinction of the Accademia Nazionale dei Sartori, and he now serves as Director of the national Forbici d’Oro competition. Since 2019, he has led Atelier Forbici d’Oro in Milan — both an atelier and a school devoted to preserving and transmitting the art of bespoke craftsmanship.

Sartoria Artigianale
Maestro Lentini has also been honoured as a Maestro d’Arte e Mestiere (MAM) for his exceptional contribution to Italian artistry. His work stands as a testament to discipline, authenticity, and the enduring beauty of the handmade.
A dedicated teacher and author of “Sartoria artigianale. Lo stile, le linee, la tecnica per realizzare capi maschili perfetti” (LSWR, 2022).
